Andrew Strauss donates his Ashes cricket bat to raise money for Home-Start Ealing
Home-Start Ealing is holding a fundraising race night on Wednesday 7th October.
As part of the event, Home-Start Ealing is holding a raffle and an auction. The main prize is a cricket bat used in the 2009 Ashes series by victorious England captain, Andrew Strauss.
Andrew has signed and dated the bat as well as giving a signed photograph of himself. A silent auction is also being held for this prize so people can still bid, even if they can't make it on the evening.
Louise Chamberlain, manager at Home-Start Ealing, said: "We are so pleased and lucky to have been given such a wonderful auction prize and can't thank Andrew and his wife enough for their kind generosity. We hope to raise a substantial amount of money which will enable us to support more local families."
For more information on bidding for the bat, or about the fundraising night which has been supported and sponsored by Barclays and other local businesses, please contact Home-Start Ealing, tel: 0208 842 1617, e:homestartealing@hotmail.com
