A group of boys from Finchley Catholic High School, London have put together a musical masterpiece on the support that Home-Start offers families. This was part of a school project which allowed young people to pick a local charity and give a presentation to the school on why their charity should receive their vote.
A £3,000 prize was on offer for the charity that gained the most votes at the school. Sadly Home-Start Barnet was just pipped to the post, (coming second), but the boys have been to meet with Home-Start Barnet to see which other ways they can help support their chosen charity.
Kirpal Dhadda, scheme manager at Home-Start Barnet said: "It's such a lovely idea and watching the song on You Tube has really made us all smile. Although we didn't come first, we have been selected by the school to recieve a donation from some money that the school raised at Lent. The boys came to the office and we discussed doing further charity work with them and their school."
