Home-Start, Rome and an old banger!
Staff from Home-Start Wokingham and Home-Start UK have joined forces to take part in the rally of a lifetime... to Rome. The only downfall is that the trip must be completed in a car that is worth less than £100! The car has to be an M plate or older and the rally must be completed in four days.
So, Mike Reynolds regional consultant for Home-Start UK has carefully picked his four wheels. He has chosen a K reg Silver Volvo Estate with 125,000 miles on the clock. Home-Start's name will be on tour too, with the car decorated with our orange and raspberry logos.
On the 26th September Mike, his wife Pat (scheme manager at Home-Start Wokingham) and two "crazy friends" set off for Calais. They will follow the route of the Grand Tour, taking in Paris, Monte Carlo and Venice before ending up in Rome, hopefully with their four wheels intact.
