Nominate your local Home-Start scheme for 'Local charity of the year' at Sainsbury's

Calling all Sainsbury's shoppers!

Please nominate your local Home-Start to be the local Sainsbury's store official charity partner of the year. If they win they will benefit from fund-raising events including collections as well as volunteering. Customers can nominate their local Home-Start between the 6th and 26th May by completing a nomination form, (available in their local store) and putting it in the 'Local Charity of the Year' voting box in store. The winning charity should be announced from a shortlist in June. (These dates and procedures may vary slightly from store to store).

Please check in your local Sainsbury's store to make sure that they are taking part in this national initiative - some stores in the North West of England took part in a pilot programme and have already selected their charity for this year.

So please, Home-Start families, volunteers, friends and supporters, rally round to help your local Home-Start scheme to become 'Sainsbury's local charity of the year 2009'.
