Alan Titchmarsh, one of the most recognizable faces in gardening, has offered his support to Home-Start's national fundraising event, The Big Tea Party, by signing a limited edition watering can teapot, (donated by The Teapottery), for the fundraising auction. As patron for Home-Start Weywater, Alan is aware of the vital support Home-Start offers its families.
Home-Start - the UK's leading family support charity, is holding its national fundraising event The Big Tea Party, between the 1st and 31st May 2008, to help raise thousands of pounds for families and children who are struggling to cope with one or more children under the age of five years. As part of the month- long campaign, an ebay auction has been set up to raise the profile of the campaign and much needed funds.
The winning bidder will receive a limited edition watering can teapot signed by Alan Titchmarsh. The teapot was chosen to tie in with the theme of the fundraising event, The Big Tea Party.
