News Release

Trek in China and help support the UK's leading family support charity

February 2008

If you have ever wanted to do an exhilarating challenge for charity here is your chance. Home-Start UK are looking for adventurous volunteers to trek in China along part of The Great Wall- one of the wonders of the world and if you raise enough in sponsorship you will get to take part for free.

Home-Start is the UK's leading family support charity. We train parent volunteers to visit other families in their own homes who are struggling to cope whatever the reasons. Our volunteers offer both practical and emotional support for families in a variety of situations including, illness, bereavement, multiple births, social exclusion and isolation.

Highlights of the trip include; a city tour around Beijing and a visit to the forbidden city. Trekking in China for Home-Start UK, means that you will get to immerse yourself in tradition, history and ancient mythology and experience something that others can only dream of. For those of you with a passion for culture, a sense of adventure and the desire to do something challenging for a great cause please contact Bobby Youngwood, Supporter Relations Officer at Home-Start UK for more details on 0116 258 7925 or by email.
