Volunteer
There are many ways to volunteer for Home-Start. Find out more about supporting local families in a way that suits you.
Home visting volunteers
Help provide Home-Start's unique home visiting service to families. Visiting them in their own homes for a couple of hours a week to provide practical and emotional support. Full training is given and criminal records checks are carried out before you can begin.
Group volunteers
Not all Home-Start's volunteers support families at home. Some help run family drop in groups or specialist support groups. Some are drivers who help families get to and from their local Home-Start. Others run toy libraries or help in other ways. Contact your local Home-Start to find out if there are any ways you can lend a hand.
Volunteer fundraisers
Many local Home-Start's welcome people who want to fundraise so they can continue their service to local families. Volunteer fundraisers get involved in everything from the posh frocks of a fundraising ball, to fashion shows, teddy bears' picnics and the hard work of fun runs and marathons. Contact your local Home-Start if you want to help locally.
