We need your help to make sure that we continue to be there for them and help them to give their children a better start in life.

Whether you want to fundraise on your own or with your workmates and employer, there are lots of ways that you can help. Here are a few ideas:

• Payroll giving - a great way for you to support Home-Start through donations taken directly from your salary - and it's tax free! Just ask your employer if they have a payroll giving scheme and then nominate Home-Start UK as the charity you would like to support. • Workplace fundraising - organise some fun events at work and get your colleagues involved. How about a Mad Hatter's Day where everyone pays to wear a mad hat and the best one wins a prize, a Tea Party with cakes and biscuits for sale, sponsored events, quizzes or out of hours sports events? The possibilities are endless and remember to check if your employer does match funding and will double whatever you raise. • Home-Start UK staff across the country took part in Take a Break magazine's annual event "Wear your Wedding Dress to Work" day in 2007. Staff paid for the privilege of wearing their dress, veil and tiara again. Some members of staff even borrowed a dress and braved the commuter trains in order to take part. • Team Challenges - organise a team challenge with your colleagues. It can be anything from a room makeover to a Christmas party for a family group. That's exactly what the food sales team at Mars UK did for their local Home-Start. Read more here
