Home-Start's developing relationship with The Scarborough Building Society
Home-Start's relationship with the Scarborough Building Society began in 2006 when the building society launched a Family Saver account.
- The £500 donated to the schemes via the Family Saver account are spent on specific events such as family outings. In Summer 2007 Bridlington and Driffield Home-Start were treated to a 'choctastic' party at Candy Kingdom by Scarborough Building Society's Bridlington branch.
- Staff at the Scarborough Building Society are encouraged to get involved personally with their local scheme. One member of staff has agreed to sit on the celebrations committee for Home-Start Leeds 10th anniversary preparations.
- Scarborough Building Society donated £2,000 towards setting up Home-Start Ryedale which opened in August 2007.
- Seven Home-Start schemes now have a growing relationship with the building society branch in their region, they are: Home-Start Bridlington & Driffield, York, Nottingham, Lincoln, Teeside, Leeds and Hull.
