Snowflake AppealAbout our appeal Every child Home-Start supports is as unique and fragile as a snowflake. Right now thousands of young children are experiencing hardship or tragedy through no fault of their own. Many families need support to get through some very tough times and this is where Home-Start can help. Sometimes we are their last chance. You can raise money any time you like for the Snowflake Appeal. But we go big on it from 1 November to 31 January each year. You will help us reach thousands of fragile and vulnerable children across the UK. On the front cover you'll find a lovely cross stitch kit and chart to make a snowflake decoration. Magazine editor, Zeena Moolla, said, "We're asking for a very special Christmas indeed. One that sees children everywhere enjoy the sort of safe, happy festivity every child deserves. We can all make a difference. And with the Snowflake Appeal chart free with this issue you can raise awarenes and money for vulnerable children." Asking readers to raise funds and awareness through donations or by having a coffee morning or crafternoon, Zeena Moolla said you can do this by "simply stitching this gorgeous hoop design." Stitchers or anyone else can donate the proceeds they have raised at www.home-start.org.uk/cross-stitch-gold-snowflake. We and the magazine would love to see pictures of your crafternoons or craft coffee mornings, and the flurry of beautiful snowflakes you manage to stitch. Share them by email with email@example.com or on Home-Start's Facebook and Twitter pages. Thank you to all at Cross Stitch Gold and at Immediate Media for you continued support of the Snowflake Appeal.
