Registration for Nightrider 2017 is now open!

Nightrider is a 100km or 50km fully supported night-time charity bike ride through an iconic city.

Nightrider is a fantastic way to discover a city by bike whilst raising funds for charity. We choose routes that will enable you to see all the highlights the city has to offer. There is full support, including medical and mechanical back up, as well as regular break stops throughout the night. Here you'll find snacks, water and toilets. At the halfway point there's tea and cake. And at the finish you can expect a cheer in and a well-earned breakfast and medal.

The route is all on road and is fully sign-posted. Nightrider is designed as a fundraising cycle ride; it is not a sportive and it is not timed. We will release the GPS of the route a few weeks prior to the event for anyone wishing to follow that.

Please note that the route is on open roads which are not closed to traffic.

New for 2017 - there is an option of 50km or 100km route at each city

The confirmed 2017 rides are:

  • London: 10/11 June 2017
  • Bristol: 1/2 July 2017
  • Liverpool: 15/16 July 2017

A fantastic way to get together with friends and family or team up with work colleagues to have a Saturday night like no other! The event is not timed and it’s not a race - it’s about having a great night seeing the sights and raising funds.

Is Nightrider for me?

If you’re looking for a challenge, want a fun night and want to raise funds then this is the event for you!

You should be confident cycling alongside city traffic. The roads are busy, even at night. We try to choose quieter roads where possible, however the routes take in some iconic landmarks and as such mean we have to encounter busy areas, with both pedestrians and vehicles.
It is not a race and not timed and we encourage everyone to cycle responsibly. This is a challenge and you will cycle either 50km or 100km (approx. 31 / 62 miles) at night therefore you will need to train. We can give you full training guidelines. You will need to be able to complete the course within 10 hours.

This event is therefore not suitable for beginner cyclists who have not trained.
