Or join 2,000 walkers on the 'Thames Bridges Trek' - 25km through the capital over 16 historic bridges with the best City views and great hospitality!

There's also Sunday morning fun by the river for all the family on 'The Henley 10K'

More than 3,000 challengers will take on the main Thames Path Challenge following England's greatest river - most will be walking, many will jog, some will be running, and all will have a special reason to push themselves.

The Route - Main Challenge

The Thames Path is unique; it's the only long distance path to follow a river for most of its length. The full route begins at Bishop's Park, next to Putney Bridge, and on through leafy Kew and Richmond past the last non-tidal lock at Teddington. It passes the Royal palace of Hampton Court, beneath Windsor Castle and on through beautiful countryside to Henley. So which route is for you? You can take on the Thames Path Challenge as either a 100km full on challenge, either of the 50km halves, or any of the Quarter sections (22-28km)
