Home-Start UK is committed to high standards of practice for all aspects of work enabling family support services and supporting local Home-Start schemes.

Home-Start UK aims to ensure that its services meet the needs of its service users at all times in accordance with obligations, its policies and procedures.

Home-Start UK agrees to maintain quality standards against which performance can be evaluated. The quality standards are enshrined within the Home-Start bespoke quality assurance system and the standards which Home-Start works to maintaining ISO 9001 certification.

Procedure

  1. Integral to ensuring quality within its work, Home-Start UK has adopted and operates a Quality Management System that has gained ISO 9001: 2015 certification, including aspects specific to being the national infrastructure organisation that provides advice, guidance and support to local Home-Starts and enables family support.

  2. Home-Start is committed to:
  • Developing and improving its Quality Management System
  • Continually improving the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
  • The enhancement of:-
    • Quality, specification and integrity
    • Facilities and logistics
    • Service user satisfaction
    • Supplier performance
    • Work ethics
  1. Home-Start UK has a continuing commitment to:
  • Ensure that service user needs and expectations are determined and fulfilled with the aim of achieving scheme satisfaction
  • Communicate throughout the organisation the importance of meeting service users needs and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Establish the Quality Policy and is objectives
  • Ensure that Management Reviews not only set but review the quality objectives, and report on the Internal Audit results as a means of monitoring and measuring the processes and the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
  • Ensure the availability of resources
  1. Home-Start UK complies with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements and constantly monitors its performance, implementing improvements when appropriate.

  2. All personnel understand the requirements of this Quality Policy and abide with the requirements of the Quality Management System as defined in the Quality Procedures Manual. This Quality Policy is regularly reviewed in order to ensure its continuing suitability.

  3. Copies are made available to all members of staff along with copies of the minutes of Management Reviews, or extracts thereof, in accordance with their role and responsibilities as a means of communicating the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
