James Buckell The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24-miles long, and includes 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent.

This challenge will be undertaken by IT Staff working out of Store Support Centre, Syston.

The route will start at Horton-in-Ribblesdale (BD24 0HE), to Ribblehead and then Chapel-le-Dale. It will be undertaken in May / June - date to be confirmed yet, the challenge will be starting at 06:00.

The route will climb mountains in the following order Ren-Y-Ghent, Whernside and then Ingleborough. James Buckell
