Home-Start UK is the leading family charity with trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children in communities across the UK. We are an umbrella organisation of circa 50 staff that works closely with our network of 184 local Home-Starts – all independent, registered charities.

Home-Start UK is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working fundraiser to help raise funds for our work with parents and children across the UK. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their fundraising skills, or for someone with transferable skills who is wanting to move into the sector.

Home-Start UK has a wide portfolio of grant funders, supporting our work through donations of around £2m each year. This income funds brilliant projects right across the Home-Start movement, from groups for army families, to volunteer perinatal mental health training, to large-scale initiatives to increase volunteer numbers. Our Trusts and Statutory Income Team is key to the delivery and development of all kinds of great support for families, and for Home-Start. No two days are the same, and we work closely with colleagues right across the organisation.

We are looking for someone who is organised and detail-oriented, with a love of writing and who can build strong relationships with funders and with colleagues across the organisation.  This is a new role and we are excited to be expanding this team. As the Trusts Fundraising Officer you will develop end-of-grant reports, gather together inspiring real-life stories from our network of Home-Start charities and interrogate data to understand the impact of our work. You will research potential new partnerships and help to write new proposals to generate income from new and lapsed mid-level supporters.

It is our 50th birthday soon, and this new role will be to help us identify new trust and foundation donors who have the potential to donate sums of £5,000 and more towards our work.
