The films you’re about to see aren’t an easy watch. And we make no apology for that. Millions of parents are grappling with anxiety, depression, and loneliness.

A new survey commissioned by Home-Start UK has revealed widespread loneliness among UK parents, with over 4-in-5 (82%) reporting they have experienced feelings of isolation (YouGov, July 2024, 4,270 GB adults including 1,014 parents of children aged 18 and under). Demand across our network has doubled and we are now supporting 32% more families than last year.

We answer the cries you don’t hear campaign is our response to the isolation crisis among parents in the UK today. We hope by raising awareness of our vital work with parents and families, it will help us meet the rising demand we face – to help us build a compassionate community around families and encourage others to support our work either as volunteers, donors or campaigners.

Our three poignant films highlight critical issues such as maternal mental health, the impact of the cost of living on families, and the grief faced by parents with young children.
