Corporate Partnership Our corporate partner programme Our corporate partners play a crucial role in enabling us to provide support to families across the UK. From raising funds to volunteering initiatives, we work closely with our partners to make sure that our work is both mutually beneficial and highly effective. We can co-create specific and tailored programmes that match corporate partners’ assets and resources with the specific needs of families. Through this we build a partnership that aligns with a company’s strategic objectives, but also makes a difference. A national charity with local reach We are a national charity, but with our network of over 180 local Home-Starts, we are also embedded in local communities. Trusted into the homes of the families we support, we are in the best place to make a real and lasting difference to families, so that no child’s future is limited. Bridging the digital divide with BT We are proud to be BTs charity of the year. Our partnership is focused on providing 100,000 BT employees with the opportunities to fundraise and volunteer to help close the digital divide for families across the UK. We know access to digital technology is a big challenge faced by our families. Not having the skills, confidence or data means many people are locked out of applying for hardship grants, locked out of helping their children with home-schooling, bidding for a new council home, applying for benefits or making a GP appointment. With our partners BT, we have a shared vision for digital inclusion and are currently co-creating a volunteer package for BT employees. International law firm, Charles Russell Speechlys LLP selected Home-Start as one of its Foundation charity partners last year. Since then CRS has supported Home-Start through a combination of donations, employee fundraising and pro-bono legal work. Thanks to our network of local Home-Starts across the UK we are linking up CRS regional offices with their local Home-Start to develop a corporate social responsibility strategy where employees can share their skills to directly benefit struggling families living in their communities. John Lewis Partnership supporting families through the pandemic and beyond John Lewis Partnership, Home-Start UK and FareShare joined forces in November 2020 to deliver a campaign to help families affected by Covid-19 across England, Scotland and Wales. Within days of the Give A Little Love campaign going live, thanks to our Home-Start network embedded in local communities across the UK, families began receiving support through a specially created grant fund. Essential items such as food, fuel tokens, winter clothing, household items and bedding was provided to families alongside digital support so that families could stay connected during lockdown. The Give A Little Love campaign has so far raised over £750,000 and supported over 26,327 parents and children in 10,536 families. Following the success of the campaign, we are proud that the John Lewis Partnership are now our long-term strategic partners. We are working together on a number of initiatives to help reconnect communities and are currently co-creating a tailored programme to enable families to achieve a Healthy, Happy, Home. This programme will develop central resources to upskill volunteers in the areas of food, nutrition, sleep and financial services. In May 2023, Healthy Happy Home was recognised at the Business Charity Awards as the John Lewis Partnership and Home-Start won in the Best Project category. White Stuff empowering women and building confidence White Stuff wanted to support grass roots work taking place in communities throughout the UK and selected Home-Start as its Charity of the Year for three years. Funding from White Stuff has provided essential supplies to families during the pandemic through our Emergency Covid Appeal fund. Goodies and treats have been distributed to families to promote the importance of self-care and lift spirits for families facing a particularly tough time. Our work with White Stuff is focused on empowering women and building confidence. White Stuff recently funded a perinatal mental health role to support new and expectant mums experiencing perinatal mental health problems. We have lots of exciting projects coming up with White Stuff including children’s Christmas messages on tea towels and charity t-shirts designed by Home-Start mums. How can we work together? STAFF FUNDRAISING – We will work with you to create a fundraising plan with a fun and engaging way for your staff to raise funds. CHALLENGE EVENTS - Do you have energetic employees? Why not take part in one of our challenge events and join one of our charity runs, cycles, treks, walks or even a tandem skydive. PAYROLL GIVING – a tax-efficient scheme that allows you to make regular donations directly from your salary. It is a simple and effective way for employees to support your chosen charity MATCHED GIVING - You can support your employees’ choice to donate to Home-Start by matching employees’ donations. This will double the impact of their donation in the local community, and show your employees that their company cares equally about a cause which matters to them. CRM AND SALES PROMOTION – You could support us directly through product sales. This can help increase your profits and raise your brand awareness VOLUNTEERING – Volunteering is at the heart of our charity and volunteering opportunities to support families are endless. We can co-create a bespoke volunteering programme for employees using a time-tiered approach so that there is something for everyone. PRO BONO WORK AND GIFTS IN KIND - We know that your company and employees have skills to offer in addition to taking on volunteering and fundraising activities for Home-Start. By offering pro bono work, your employees can use their communication expertise to help raise awareness of our cause, use their leadership skills and become a business mentor, or a local Home-Start board member to help us develop and grow.
