Since launching in Greater Manchester in 2017, Dad Matters has grown into a national movement powered by Home-Start, reaching tens of thousands of fathers across the UK. This new Impact Report (2017–2025) shows how Dad Matters is making a real difference in the first 1001 days of a child’s life by: Supporting 40,000+ dads through universal outreach in hospitals, antenatal classes and community settings. Delivering 1-to-1 peer support to almost 2,000 dads, with: 84% reporting improved mental health and wellbeing 77% reporting stronger knowledge of bonding and attachment Training and engaging 15,000+ professionals, embedding father-inclusive practice across family services.
