Families raising young children is already a job that requires lots of time, hard work, and kindness, and to think that there are families who are doing this while going through challenging times touches me. I want these families to feel hopeful and to not give up, to motivate and encourage them to be able to get through their challenges. As the Home-Start motto says, 'We are there for parents when they need us the most because childhood can't wait.', I have had a wonderful childhood, and want all children in the world to be able to experience a loving and safe childhood.

My fundraiser is also part of my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award Scheme.
