Comedian and TV star, Romesh Ranganathan, has voiced Home-Start’s new animation, showing the power of little moments through the eyes of children.

As part of Home-Start’s 50th anniversary campaign, The Power of Little Moments, Home-Start have made a new animation to show the impact our volunteers make to families.

Told through the eyes and words of children, the film highlights how the little moments made by volunteers add up and make a huge difference to the future health and happiness of children.

The film explores how volunteers support children living in poor housing and poverty, who have experienced war and conflict and whose parents are suffered bereavement.

Alongside our child superstar voiceover artists and illustrators, Romesh Ranganathan, kindly provided the voiceover.

Romesh has previously supported and donated to Home-Start Crawley, Horsham & Mid-Sussex and being able to use his voice in this film will help shine a light on the important work of Home-Start.

The animation, made by CC Animation Studio, used drawings by children who are supported by local Home-Starts, and features six children describing a moment their Home-Start volunteer has created for them. The examples used in the animation are all based on real-life examples.

Over the past 50 years Home-Start has supported 1.5 million children and 700,000 families. And since the first volunteers began supporting families in Leicester, Home-Start volunteers have given 15 million hours.

To help make sure that we are able to support families for the next 50 years, you can support Home-Start by making a donation. Because childhood can't wait.
