60,000 determined and dedicated runners make the Great North Run the World’s biggest and best half marathon – famous for its warm North East welcome, unbeatable atmosphere and the millions raised for good causes. The course takes in the iconic Tyne Bridge and finishes in the coastal town of South Shields.

Own place entries

If you already have your own place in the Great North Run, you can still join Team Home-Start and receive all the same support as our charity place runners.

You’ll have no registration fee or fundraising target, but we’ll help you raise as much as you can.
