Home-Start’s internal intranet platform @Home has been recognized for outstanding Best Stakeholder Engagement and Best Video categories in the international intranet and digital workplace awards, featuring alongside nominees including Sony Playstation, AMC Networks, and the International Rescue Committee.

Now in their 10th year, the international Interact Excellence Awards celebrate those organizations and individuals at the forefront of digital workplace, intranet, and internal communications innovation.

The shortlist of nominees spanned small non-profits through to international enterprises from around the globe, including entrants from the US, UK, Australasia, Europe, Asia and Africa.

This year’s cohort of entries was judged by an independent panel of experts from fields including communications, engagement, and digital workplace strategy. Eight categories explore outstanding examples of digital workplace design, offline worker strategy, use of video, and the innovative use of digital tools to solve a range of complex business challenges.

Matthew Hann, Head of Communications at Home-Start UK said: “When we launched @Home 12 months ago we wanted @Home to transform how the whole Home-Start network was able to communicate. We wanted to create a platform that would bring us together to share ideas and knowledge to better help us support families. Over the past two months this has been more important than ever, and it has played a critical role in supporting the Home-Start network and its response with families to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are very proud to have been awarded in both the Stakeholder and Best Video category, and it shows just how much the whole network has been committed to making @Home a really useful tool for us all.”

Elizabeth Mull, one of the judging panel and Director, Employee Communications at US media and broadcast company, TEGNA, said "I really appreciate that Home-Start made all employees key stakeholders in its intranet relaunch which is not an easy feat! Its "60 seconds" video series made the launch of its new intranet an organizational effort supported by multiple key stakeholders."

“Every year, our customers continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible,” remarks Kris Morrison, VP of Customer Success of Interact. At a time when the value and role of the digital workplace have never been more critical, it’s essential we recognize the efforts of those driving change and delivering exceptional results for their organization and its employees. Entries to this year’s awards demonstrate outstanding innovation, creativity, agility, and a true understanding of the value of the digital employee experience. We’re extremely proud to be the supporting force behind them.”

Over 20 organizations entered this year’s awards from across nine different industries, with other winners including global non-profit organization International Rescue Committee, luxury American fitness brand Equinox, and national healthcare provider, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
