Snowflake Appeal

About our appeal

Right now thousands of young children are experiencing hardship or tragedy through no fault of their own.

Many families need support to get through some very tough times and this is where Home-Start can help. Sometimes we are their last chance.

You can raise money any time you like for the Snowflake Appeal®. But we go big on it from 1 November to 31 January each year. You will help us reach thousands of children across the UK.

Thank you to Cross Stitch Gold for the kit on the cover of issue 133 to stitch a lovely snowflake decoration for The 2016 Snowflake Appeal.

And thank you to all of you who held stitch and sip coffee mornings or crafternoons to make these decorations and help raise funds for unique and fragile children. Please pay in any money you raised here.

Right now thousands of young children in the UK are experiencing hardship and tragedy and need our help.

We'd love to see your pictures of your event or the snowflakes you stitched on social media. Please share them using #snowflakeappeal.

Home-Start has to turn away thousands of vulnerable children across the UK every year because it doesn’t have the funds to help them.

Craft devotee and tv presenter, Kirstie Allsopp, is a passionate ambassador for The Snowflake Appeal. She says, “Children are unique and fragile – just like a snowflake. When hardship or tragedy hits their families, they can suffer for a lifetime. I support The Snowflake Appeal so I can make a difference for their futures.”

Thank you everyone who is taking part. Every penny makes a difference to these children who are as unique and fragile as snowflakes.
